The help centre

The explanation for the platform sits in the platform itself, on the screen you are working on.

Help per screen

On every worksheet and on the canvas, the Help button opens a panel with an explanation of that screen. The ? key does the same everywhere. On the report, the dossier and in administration the button is there too. The panel sits over the screen, so you can carry on working. The texts are available in Dutch and in English.

The help centre itself

From the help panel you open all the help for a worksheet on one page. Or you ask a question: you get an answer based only on the help texts, with the topics it comes from. What is not in the help texts, it does not answer.

The help texts themselves are kept in their own table, separate from the code.

Managing the platform help

The platform's own help texts are managed by the platform administrator from the administration screen; a change is visible at once in every organisation's help centre. The help panel and the page with all the help for a worksheet read from the same source.

An organisation's own method

The administrator of an organisation puts the organisation's own method — texts, steps and terms — in the help centre, under Administration → Help. You type the text or take it from a file (text, Word, PDF or PowerPoint), choose which worksheet and section it belongs to, and save it as a draft or publish it. Publishing is only possible with the declaration that the organisation holds the rights to the text; who confirmed that, and when, is recorded. The space per organisation is limited, and a text that is too long is not cut off but rejected.

Colleagues see the published topics next to the platform help, marked as the organisation's own method. The question bar also answers from that method and shows what comes from the organisation itself.
